The Charleston Chamber Foundation (CCF) is a recipient of the Economic Development Administration’s Good Jobs Challenge Grant. This grant opportunity is being utilized to establish the Lowcountry Careers Collaborative (LCC) to address the hiring needs of the Tri-County region’s major healthcare employers and reduce barriers for low-income and minority workers looking to enter the healthcare field.
CCF is requesting proposals from training providers serving Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. A total of $1.4M is available to pay for tuition assistance, instructors, cost of materials, and examination fees. Eligible training programs include those preparing students for jobs as certified medical assistants, emergency medical technicians, and sterile processing technicians.
