The Middleton Group is excited to announce plans for a new two-story office building to house their growing architecture and interior design firm in the heart of North Charleston’s progressive Park Circle neighborhood. The ground floor will welcome a second location for Derrington Dermatology, led by board-certified physician Dr. Derrington, while the upper level will house the firm’s architecture studio. Designed by The Middleton Group and built in collaboration with local developer and contractor SL Shaw & Associates, the project represents a shared commitment to high-quality, locally rooted development.
The design envisions an elegant, elevated white box featuring a uniquely patterned cladding sitting atop a contrasting brick base that grounds the building and wraps the two-story entrance lobby. A panoramic window on the second floor offers a glimpse into the firm’s creative lounge, creating a visual connection between the architecture studio and the street. The facade that faces Quarterman Park incorporates a gentle curve to maximize views of the park and is finished with a vertical wood-look siding to blend with the surrounding trees.
The Middleton Group’s current office is located nearby at the Ice House at Park Circle on Spruill Avenue—a former industrial site that the firm helped redevelop into a modern office park.
