Happy New Year from the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce!

We kicked off 2025 with a great start at our annual Legislative Reception, held last week at the South Carolina Aquarium. It was wonderful to see over 400 business leaders and more than 50 elected officials come together to foster connections and engage in important conversations about the future of our community.

At the event, we unveiled our 2025 Legislative Agenda, which highlights the top priorities for Charleston’s business community. This year, our focus will be on addressing key issues such as the affordability and accessibility of dependent care, improving infrastructure and the business climate, promoting workforce sustainability and supporting the military.

The first of a two-year State Legislative session began on January 14 and I’ll be in Columbia to represent our community’s interests. The session is expected to be pivotal, and we are committed to advocating for the priorities that matter most to Charleston’s economy.
