Erin Aylor Earns Nationally Recognized IOM Designation

The Charleston Metro Chamber is proud to celebrate Senior Vice President of Marketing & Events Erin Aylor on earning the Institute for Organization Management (IOM) designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The IOM designation is one of the highest professional achievements for chamber and association executives. Over four years, Erin completed 96 hours of course instruction covering every aspect of nonprofit and chamber management, including leadership, advocacy, finance, membership, marketing and organizational strategy. The nationally recognized program equips professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to lead stronger organizations and better serve their members.

Aylor has been part of the Charleston Metro Chamber team for more than 12 years, helping shape the organization’s marketing strategy, member engagement and signature events. Earning her IOM designation strengthens the expertise she brings to the Chamber and reinforces the organization’s commitment to continuous learning and delivering exceptional value to the business community.

“Earning my IOM designation has been one of the most rewarding professional development experiences of my career,” said Aylor. “Over four years, I gained valuable insights into every facet of chamber management while building relationships with chamber and association professionals from across the country. I’m grateful for the experience and look forward to applying what I’ve learned to better serve the Charleston Metro Chamber, our members and our region.”

Chamber President & CEO Kevin Sheilley said Aylor’s accomplishment reflects both her commitment to professional excellence and the Chamber’s commitment to serving its members at the highest level.

“Erin has consistently invested in growing as a leader throughout her career, and earning her IOM designation is a tremendous accomplishment,” said Sheilley. “The knowledge, perspective and national network she has gained through this program will strengthen our organization and enhance the value we provide to our members. We are incredibly proud of Erin and excited to see her apply what she’s learned to help move our Chamber and our region forward.”
