This month, we had the privilege of celebrating the impact of veteran entrepreneurs across the region. Their leadership, vision and resilience continue to shape our local economy and the Chamber is proud to support them as they grow and thrive.
On November 5, the Chamber hosted the inaugural Veteran Business Owners Forum, presented by JPMorgan Chase, a landmark event dedicated to veteran-owned businesses in the Charleston region. This forum was a key component of the Chamber’s ongoing initiative to empower veteran entrepreneurs, fostering an environment where their unique visions and enterprises can flourish. The turnout exceeded expectations with a diverse array of veterans and business leaders.
The success of the event was made possible by the generous support of JPMorgan Chase, whose commitment to supporting our nation’s heroes significantly enhanced the impact of our initiative. Additionally, we’d like to recognize the ATI Foundation and the South Carolina Veterans Business Outreach Center at The Citadel, for their support in this opportunity to uplift and empower veterans in the business community.

The Veteran Business Owners Forum served as a powerful platform for networking, allowing aspiring and established entrepreneurs to connect and collaborate with influential leaders in their respective industries. Attendees gained insights from distinguished speakers, who shared their knowledge and real-world experiences. This invaluable information equipped participants with tools and strategies to navigate the complexities of today’s competitive business landscape.
During the forum, we recognized two exceptional veteran-owned businesses, Gold Star Coffee and Warrior Haven, honoring their significant contributions to the community. Both organizations delivered presentations that shared their stories filled with experiences that have shaped their entrepreneurial journey. The speakers underscored the importance of forging authentic connections and following one’s passions.
The Chamber’s military affairs initiative is deeply committed to supporting the local military community, striving to make Charleston a welcoming and preferred destination for service members and their families.
